Black Adam
Role
| Costume Development Manager
On Black Adam, I was responsible for developing the supersuit worn by the title character. This required translating iconic comic visuals into a functional, high-performance costume. I worked closely with an in-house graphic designer to develop custom surface artwork and partnered with external vendors to engineer a screen-printing process that created a dense, sculptural texture while preserving stretch and recovery in the base fabric.
Alongside the main suit, I managed up to eight concurrent specialty builds for supporting characters. Each project had its own technical requirements, material needs, and fabrication challenges. Some included digitally sculpted hard components, such as Hawkman's armor, which required close collaboration with 3D artists to ensure proper integration with soft goods elements.
Across these builds, I coordinated with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to track sampling, manage timelines, and maintain quality across more than 75 individual costume elements. The work combined creative problem-solving with detailed material innovation, delivered at scale under a complex production schedule.
