Role

| Costume Development Manager

For Star Trek: Picard, I supported the development of future-forward uniforms and hero looks that aligned with the visual identity of an iconic brand while introducing a more modern, functional aesthetic. Working closely with the designer and producers, I helped translate conceptual direction into scalable, wearable builds that combined sharp tailoring with technical performance.

Material development centered on structured knits and engineered fabrics that needed to hold shape, move cleanly on camera, and withstand repeated wear across episodes. I led prototyping and refinement, balancing design goals with durability, stretch, and consistent fit across a wide cast.

Production ran across five parallel development tracks, ranging from volume-based uniforms to small-run hero pieces. I used Airtable to manage workflow visibility, track changes, and align teams across stages of development. I also oversaw more than 15 external vendors, from specialty fabricators to finishing partners, ensuring quality and delivery across multiple pipelines.

Additional responsibilities included maintaining continuity of product across multiple applications, managing creative adjustments late in the process, and solving for fabrication challenges under changing production needs. The project combined intentional design with flexible execution in a fast-moving environment.
