Role

| Costume Development Manager

GLOW required sourcing and managing over 2,000 period-specific garments across multiple seasons, supporting a fast-paced production schedule and a large ensemble cast. I worked closely with producers, directors, writers, and the designer to interpret creative direction into actionable sourcing and build strategies.

The show's 1980s athletic aesthetic posed unique challenges, particularly in recreating the look and performance of vintage spandex. I partnered with textile vendors to develop modern replacements that matched period styling while meeting stretch and durability needs for stunt work and movement.

A fabric library was maintained to support continuity, rapid prototyping, and reference across departments. To ensure alignment between internal teams and external vendors, I created detailed tech packs and tracked development through all phases. The work received an Emmy nomination and reflected a thoughtful approach to creative problem-solving under scale and speed.
