Into the Badlands
Role
| Costume Development Manager
Into the Badlands required the simultaneous development of large-scale uniforms and detailed custom builds under a highly compressed schedule. With only weeks before filming, I implemented a rapid prototyping workflow that could support both high volume and specialized one-off pieces.
Material development and quick procurement played a key role. I sourced specialty textiles from multiple regions to meet low-minimum production needs and led the creation of custom finishes including quilting, embossing, and surface treatments across both large scale production and small quantity output. These were tested for visual consistency, durability, and production feasibility.
I supervised a cross-functional internal team while managing remote vendors across multiple time zones. Quality control was maintained through structured communication, sample review, and clear technical documentation. Despite logistical constraints, we delivered on schedule and with a high level of design integrity.
